Waltz-In Room Setups
Room setup options
Here are the layouts we’d use according to your event format and guest count for a Waltz-In Reservation.
Seated at a single table
For a seated/plated, formal & coursed, seated/family-style, or a buffet/seated meal, we can seat between 6-30 people at one long wooden table.
Please note that a table for 30 would take up the majority of the space, and there won't be much room for mingling before and after the meal if you were planning for it. Most have been ok with it, but we want to provide this caveat in case it would be an issue!
For groups under 6, we can use the Brazilian Black Soapstone table or a glass round table. For groups over 30, please see seated at separate tables below or contact us for other options.
Seated at an angled table
Same as a single table, but for those who preferred the angled shape for seating closer to the balcony.
Some cooking class instructors may prefer that there is more room around the kitchen, and others just prefer the shape of this table! For cooking classes with all participants in the kitchen, we recommend a group of no more than 20 participants, though the level of "coziness" will depend a lot on what you're cooking!
This is also great for optionally-interactive cooking classes, so that there's more room for non-cooking guests to hang out near the kitchen where the action is.
More floor space for mingling, but still with plenty of options for guests who would like to sit.
A reception with heavy hors d'oeuvres or small plates is easily as filling as a dinner (sometimes more!) and provides the most room for guests to move about the room and talk with different people throughout the event.
Great for birthdays, showers, PR events, optionally-interactive cooking classes and demonstrations (oyster-shucking, mozzarella-pulling, ravioli-making, anyone?), farewell parties, and anniversary parties.
The counter on the island is completely optional.
